Part of the construction of our new offices includes the interior design ( My favorite part) We’ve contracted one Toronto’s creative firms SDI Interior design and they are producing some seriously incredible renderings for our new home. Aside from the move being an investment in our staff, our core objective was to make our new space totally cross functional amongst all departments and to utilize our space as a show tool to our current and prospective clients. I’m meeting with the design team in 20 minutes to approve final design and finishes and it’s weird that I’m actually hesitant to pull the trigger (something everyone here will say I never hesitate to do) on our final designs. Funky space is more than clean lines and nice furniture. We’re creating a culture with the new building and it’s something that I’m finding myself on daily basis trying to actually locate. Hyper growth typically involves melding personalities on the fly and it take time to build enterprise wide cohesiveness… Is a funky high tech space going to do that with our staff consisting of baby boomer’s, Gen X, and Gen Y’ers? Who knows…. I’ve added some pics of what I’m leaning to select as our upcoming place of refuge…I mean work!
