A lot can be said about those cheeky ads that Mac runs but I admit mid last year I got absorbed into the Mac culture and made the switch from my PC to Mac. I flip flopped back and forth twice before I finally got the hang of my new Macbook Pro, and soon the ease of use and reliability had me hooked. So hooked we started converting many of our front line personnel to Mac’s. Along the way we have ribbed and had friendly battles with our fellow PC users in the office but it’s quite amazing to see the performance and reliability levels of these machines typically reserved as CPU’s for marketing types.
Our sales force now uses Mac and I’ve seen first hand the looks on customer faces when 3 or four of us unpack our hardware across the table from them and they’re really quite impressed. Your hardware says a lot about you, and being the creative out of the box company we are, our Macs reinforce our creativity. I think in a lot of ways the way we design our applications is reminiscent to the Mac philosophy and brand essence: Easy to use and reliable with a certain level of class attached. All of our sales presentations are done via keynote and our marketing team produces some amazing slide transitions and templates utilizing this great application.
I admit every now and then I need to dust off my PC laptop but for the most part we’re Mac converts at VIG.
